I wanted to bring you a full service social and emotional learning system that is easy to use and affordable. The Mind Trek Program is simple to use and requires less than five minutes to prepare. Teachers simply need to turn the program on their screens and follow the on-screen directions with their classes. This frees up counselors and teachers to prepare for other lessons and attend to student needs.

The Mind Trek has resources to meet your needs and budget. We offer scripted programs for 6-12th grades. The Mind Trek program has also been made to suit the needs of your students with special learning needs.

Social Emotional Learning, SEL, is a variety of skills, knowledge, and attitudes that help students succeed both academically and socially. Some examples include, emotional regulation, self control, problem solving, critical thinking, grit, goal setting, bully prevention, formation of positive relationships and empathy.

Students have shown to have better attitudes towards others and themselves. They also have increased academic achievement and the development of social and emotional skills. Participation in an SEL program has been shown to decrease emotional stress and conduct problems.

Students develop a better sense of community, improved attitude towards school and learning and increased academic motivation. They have improved attendance and more class participation. Coping skills are increased along with more thought to consequences for their actions.

Participation in an SEL program improves the classroom environment. Students and teachers are less stressed. There is more classroom participation and less disruptions. Group work becomes smoother and communication is increased. The benefits of social emotional learning are enormous.

SEL programs have been shown to increase class performance. Students have improved problem solving skills and reading comprehension. Studies are showing that students have improvement in math, social studies, and literacy skills. 

Students who participate in an SEL program have been shown to score 11 percentile points higher on academic assessments than their peers. They have also been shown to  have a 14 percentile increase on standardized test scores.

Social Emotional Learning goes beyond academics to help students combine thinking and feeling to successfully accomplish tasks and succeed in life. Students are able to manage emotions and show empathy towards others. SEL helps students develop forward thinking by setting achievable goals, learn problem solving skills, and see potential positive and negative consequences.

Tell me about The Mind Trek Program

You know your students better than anyone else. The Mind Trek SEL Program lessons are scripted so that you can teach them to your students.

Lessons in the scope and sequence are designed to be presented in 10-20 minutes. 

Additional activities can be added to the lessons to supplement learning on the same day or at a later time.

The Mind Trek SEL Program was designed to be implemented by any staff member in the building. 

SEL lessons help build community and relationships. This is a great opportunity for teachers to build community in the classrooms.

Lessons are scripted so that everyone can be on the same page.

The Mind Trek program does not teach Critical Race Theory. The program focuses on empathy and respect for others that are similar and different from you. Students learn the skills of empathy and how they can try to understand others' feelings and perspectives. Students learn how to disagree respectfully. They also learn that everyone has a different background and experiences. Students learn how to identify others' strengths and experiences to work together.

The Mind Trek SEL program does not specifically address LGBTQ+ or gender identity. The Mind Trek SEL program teaches empathy and respect for everyone.
