Why The Mind Trek?

The Mind Trek is a social-emotional learning system that focuses on the whole student. It helps students develop empathy for one another, emotional control, decision-making skills, and independence in and out of the classroom.

The Mind Trek SEL program helps students gain life skills. It is differentiated into three levels so ALL students can participate. The program also includes built-in transition assessments.  Go deeper with The Mind Trek and give students the functional skills they need for independence.

Description

The Mind Trek SEL Special Education Program was designed with you in mind! The Units and Modules align with The Mind Trek Middle and High School programs so that ALL students can participate.

 The Special Education Program is designed to be flexible You can use the lessons in order or start with a module that your students need most!

Modules are broken down into several lessons to meet the needs of your students. Each lesson has an interactive video, social story, and additional activities that you can practice with your students.

Module 2 What are Emotions?: What are emotions?, What do emotions look like?, Identifying Emotions

You know your students better than anyone else. The Mind Trek SEL Program lessons are scripted so that you can teach them to your students.

Every lesson and activity is differentiated into 3 levels. Students of all abilities can participate.

Lessons are differentiated all the way down for students that are not able to read. They include visual activities and cues.

While The Mind Trek SEL Program is a cohesive program it was also designed to be flexible. 

Any of the modules can be used as stand alone units. We understand that students have different needs at different times. 

You can rearrange the order of the modules to meet your classroom needs.

Lessons were designed specifically for middle and high school students. The pictures are age appropriate.

Scenarios and activities were also designed to meet the social development of secondary students.
